Blue screen of death iPhone 5s

How do I resolve the blue screen error while using iWork on my iPhone 5s? When I use Pages, for example, and press home button to switch app, my iPhone restarts after a blue screen. I even returned it & took a new one, but no luck. The bug is in iWork suite for iOS 7, I think, and not in the hardware. I'm a heavy Pages user and this bug is hindering my work (besides scaring me to death).

The bug was on all the versions of iOS 7.

Thank you for your question, as the workaround to it helps indeed, not only in iWorks but also in other iCloud document viewing and editing apps (see below). I shall post the following nevertheless to help Apple's guys to solve this "64bits-backboardd-iCloud" problem ...

Probably all inked to 64 bits ... and to the clipboard ... My first clipboard entry when I started with my 5S is always coming back somehow into the clipboard after a few minutes, annoying ... and I suspect a link ...

If you look into the diagnosis section in the information section in the general section of the preferences, you will find laboriously that most kernel panics causing a reset were provoqued by a daemon named "backboardd", apart from one exception I found so far, the application "DataMan Enterprise" which caused crashes without "help" from "backboardd" when active or in the background, of course, I dumped that application, sorry for the developers of otherwise reliable applications.

The other applications, leading systematically, in certain constellations, to crashes, mostly after having been sent to background, were "Pages" (after speaking a text passage), "GoodReader" and "PDF Expert" (when reading a 1000 pages document off the iCloud). All these resets were logged as due to "backboardd" causing a kernel panic.

I have just experienced the same problem while browsing facebook. Screen turned blue, than the phone rebooted. After reboot the phone turned blue again and rebootted for the second time. I restarted the phone, screen turned blue and now works. Have not tried opening apps but i received some phone calls. Wondering if you fixed the problem at your end and how you did it. I'm running ios 7.1

DFU mode will fix this. Connect your iphone to the computer, while connected press and hold down the home button and on/off switch until you see the itunes logo on the iphone's screen. Then on the computer, hit restore and set it up AS NEW. This will erase all of the information on the iphone so before you do so, back up some photos individually instead of back up through itunes/icloud.
